One of the highlights of the Lotus stand at the IAA is the 2012 Lotus Elise S, which reaches the market to replace the 2012 Lotus Elise S. In addition to winning a new engine, the sporty two-seater also now has a new exchange, the SPS.
The new engine that drives the model is a supercharged 1.8 liter that develops 200 horsepower and maximum torque of 25 mkgf. The advantage of this new thrust is that it offers greater torque compared to the Elise SC, which gave 22 mkgf.
In addition to improving performance, the new engine also offers lower fuel consumption and lower rate of CO2 emissions.
Another novelty is the option to equip the Elise with automated transmission SPS (Serial Precision Shift), which allows the driver to switch from automatic to manual using the paddles behind the Lotus Elise S wheel.
