At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Peugeot will present the new 2012 Peugeot 4008 small SUV, which is based on the Mitsubishi ASX.
The French PSA Peugeot Citroen Group is expanding its cooperation with the Japanese partner, Mitsubishi continues. The two-liter gasoline engine delivers 150 hp and 198 Nm. The 2012 Peugeot 4008 is connected via a manual five-speed gearbox. The big petrol engine can also be combined with a CVT gearbox. On the diesel side, one can find 112 hp and 280 Nm strong 1.6-liter and a 1.8-liter HDi with 150 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Both are combined with a manual six-speed gearbox.
The 2012 Peugeot 4008 is to be offered primarily in Europe with all-wheel drive. Here are similar to the Mitsubishi three modes to choose from. 2WD, 4WD or a locked mode.
After its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show Peugeot will join the 2012 Peugeot 4008 already on the market in spring 2012. Prices have not yet been named. The Mitsubishi ASX is already starting to have around 18,000 €.
