2013 Acura RLX – 2012 New York Auto Show

Acura revealed the new 2013 Acura RLX Concept at the 2012 New York Auto Show, The 2013 Acura RLX is just a concept for now, but the sedan’s hybrid luxury division of Honda, is already very close to the final version that will replace the current RL. It will be equipped with V6 engines and feature SH-AWD.

The Acura RLX has broadcast seven-speed dual-clutch, rather than the six-speed automatic conventional RL. Its V6 engine is a little lower (3.5 against 3.7 liters) and has direct injection and to increase efficiency. And the AWD system SH-AWD is now officially called SH-AWD Sport Hybrid, due to its two electric motors on the rear axle.

The Acura has not detailed the specifications of the battery and electric motor to the 2013 Acura RLX , but it will deliver 370 horsepower and combined fuel consumption of 12.75 km / l. Front-drive models get 310 horsepower V6 engine. The current RL, which is available only with four-wheel drive, has 300 hp and consumption is 7.2 / 10.2 km / l city / highway.

The suspension is totally new, the company said, and the car will have variable ratio, electrically driven direction.

The 2013 Acura RLX  must have production starting in the third quarter and will be unveiled at Los Angeles before coming to sales in early 2013.
