Bentley officially presented the Bentley Continental GT V8, the new coupe version of the famous British brand, owned by the VW Group.
The new engine is a 4.0 V8 with direct petrol injection and two turbochargers. It yields 507 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 67.3 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. Its acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h happens in just under five seconds and top speed is 290 km / h. The W12 Continental GT has 575 hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 it reaches 318 km / h.
Equipped with eight-speed automatic gearbox, the Continental GT has a V8 system that deactivates half the cylinders in low power demand. According to Bentley, consumes 40% less fuel than the W12 and can go up to 800 miles on one tank of gas.
