Mitsubishi announced that the The new Mitsubishi Mirage sub-compact will be sold in the Canadian market early next year. However, U.S. entry has not been defined. The company said there is a 50% chance of this happening. The main objective of Mitsubishi in North America is introducing the new Outlander, which means spending a very large sum of money on marketing campaign.
The Mitsubishi Mirage was developed for emerging markets, with a low-cost model and compared to the Mitsubishi Colt Europe. The potential of the Mirage will be explored in other markets, but we believe that in the U.S. it has different visual and technical details.
The Mirage Specs is closer in size to the Chevrolet Spark than to the Ford Fiesta as it measures 146-inches (3,710mm) long, 65.5 inches (1,665 mm) wide and 58.7 inches (1,490 mm) tall. In other markets it’s offered with a choice of two three-cylinder gasoline engines with a displacement of 1.0-liter and 1.2-liters.
